Roofing
All roof shingles on our new sheds include a manufacturer’s limited warranty of 25–30 years against leakage. Overtime they will reimburse you at a prorated rate on the materials only. The labor is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Our metal roofing featured on the Standard Series and New England Series with Smart Siding or duratemp includes a manufacturer’s 25-year limited warranty on the metal, which provides material reimbursement at a prorated rate over time. Rough cut board and batten sheds, along with chicken coops and firewood shed are covered by a one-year limited warranty.
Doors & Windows
Doors and windows are covered under a one-year limited warranty. To help extend their lifespan, we recommend keeping doors properly painted, sealed, and maintained. This warranty does not cover issues caused by an uneven or improperly prepared foundation, including doors that rub or become misaligned due to the shed being unlevel.
Maintenance Requirements
For our sheds, we require that you inspect all caulking every two years and reapply as needed. Common areas to check include around window trim, above doors, and other seams exposed to weather. If you’re unsure about the proper locations or materials to use, please consult your salesperson or delivery driver for guidance. Limitations
This warranty does not cover damage caused by neglect, improper installation, accidents, high winds, or natural disasters. Any shed that has been altered, modified, or neglected will not be covered. All shed dimensions are approximate. Warranties are non-transferable and apply to sheds sold and installed by Hudson Valley Shed Builders from 2020 to the present.Customers are required to provide the original invoice when making a warranty claim. The Rough Cut Board and Batten Series includes a one-year structural warranty. Please note, this warranty does not cover natural characteristics such as cracking or shrinking of boards that may occur as the wood dries. If the shed has been moved from its original location all warranties are void
Hudson Valley Shed Builders reserves the right to deny, revoke, or refuse any and all warranty claims if, upon inspection, we determine that damage, deterioration, or defects are the result of neglect, misuse, unauthorized modifications, improper installation, accidents, or exposure to conditions beyond normal wear and tear. This includes, but is not limited to, damage caused by improper site preparation, lack of maintenance, or environmental factors such as flooding, high winds, or other acts of nature.
